Balabhadra Jaivik Chasa Mission (BJCM) โ Easy Guide
The Balabhadra Jaivik Chasa Mission is a new scheme of the Odisha Government.
Its main aim is to promote organic farming in both agriculture and horticulture.

Main Features of the Scheme
1. Transition Incentive for Farmers
Farmers who shift to organic farming may face yield loss in the beginning.
To support them, the government will provide a transition incentive.
Budget: โน44.92 crore.

2. Development of Organic Horticulture Clusters
Special clusters will be developed for organic fruits, vegetables, and other horticulture crops.
Budget: โน21.06 crore.
3. Amruta Anna Initiative
This will promote organic rice production and ensure its use in the Shree Jagannath Temple kitchen.
Budget: โน22.23 crore.
Extra Support for Farmers
- Training programs on organic farming methods.
- Awareness drives to educate farmers and the public.
- Exposure visits to successful organic farms.
- Research and documentation to improve techniques.
The scheme will also use funds from other central and state programs wherever possible.
